We will be celebrating the feast day of our patron saint with a Triduum—a period of three days of prayer and celebration. Beginning on Wednesday, October 2 and running
through Friday, September 4 we will gather from 6-7pm in St. Francis Church. The first two nights we will have talks led by Fr. Peter Gower with Adoration and on Saturday there will be a Mass celebrating our patron saint, St. Francis, followed by a light reception. All are welcome to join us in praying to our patron saint!
See
for details.
Bring your dogs, cats, hamsters, gerbils, birds, fish, ferrets, chickens, turtles, etc. for a special St. Francis blessing by the statue of our patron saint.
Please take a baby bottle and fill it with your spare coins (cash or checks are also much appreciated). Checks should be made out to RI Right to Life. Please return the bottles to church the weekend of October 5th. Collection bins will be located at the entrances of the church and chapel. Your generosity will help Right to Life Services to provide pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and support Maternity Hope Chest which services 300 mothers and families each month who have courageously chosen life!!
With winter approaching, children in our community are in need of winter coats. We will be accepting new and gently used coats for children ONLY. Donated coats may be dropped off at the lower level of the church on Saturday, October 11th from 9:00am to 12:00pm
Are you or anyone you know interested in exploring the Catholic Church as their spiritual home? If you know someone - a spouse, relative, friend, neighbor, coworker who might be interested in becoming a Catholic, or was baptized in the Catholic faith but has not received the sacraments of the Eucharist and/or Confirmation, we will be holding an informational meeting on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 6pm to 7pm at Fr. Greenan Hall to provide an overview of the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) and to answer any questions. We are here to help you discern God’s will in your life. If anyone would like further information, please contact Pat Lefoley plefoley1@cox.net or 401-339-3858. You may also call the parish office at 401-783-4411.
Please join us in welcoming our New Parishioners here at St. Francis! We will have a coffee/donut reception in lower level of our church following our 9:00am Mass. Those attending the 11:00am Mass
may join and mingle before Mass.
The bazaar includes craft/vendors tables, a silent auction, bake sale, and a cafe for drinks and a lunch menu. Our crafters include pottery, jewelry, cards, ornaments, small paintings, knitting, candles, wood products, coastal decorations etc. Silent auction items include a week in a beautiful condo in MyrtleBeach and themed baskets. Come join the fun!
What better way to give our thanks and praise to the Lord for the many blessings we received this year, than to come together and share in the Eucharist?
Join us at 9:00 AM on Thursday, November 27th, for our annual Thanksgiving Day Mass.
This annual tradition at St. Francis parish of bringing Christmas cheer of our neighbors in need begins on today, November 30. Gift tags are placed on the Advent trees in St. Francis Church and at St. Romuald Chapel. The Giving Tree provides much needed support to our St. Vincent de Paul chapter here at St. Francis and to the Jonnycake Center which services local families providing basic necessities. This year with food insecurity reaching its highest level, there is a great need for gift cards from food stores ($25 increments preferable) The gift cards should be returned no later than the weekend of December 20/21. They can be placed in the collection baskets or brought to the parish office.
