We have a wonderful community of Catholic women committed to fostering friendship, offering prayer for the needs of our community and the world, support for each other, and building a deeper relationship with Jesus. This ministry is open to any woman representing various ages and stages of life. The facilitators are parishioners, like yourselves, looking to connect and grow with others and Christ – together, sharing our lives and faith journey. You are most welcome to join as your schedule allows. We meet every Wednesday morning beginning on September 18th.
Join us for an evening of great food and fun festivities at our annual pasta dinner. The beautiful basket raffles are a highlight of the evening! The cost for adults is $15 ($10 for takeout), $8 for children 6-12 years old and free for children under 6.
Please take one baby bottle and fill it with your spare coins (cash or checks are also much appreciated). Checks should be made out to RI Right to Life. Please return the bottles to church the weekend of October 6th. Collection bins will be located at the entrances of the church and chapel. Your generosity will help Right to Life Services to provide pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and support Maternity Hope Chest which services 300 mothers and families each month who have courageously chosen life!!
During the month of October, join us at St. Romuald chapel every week night starting at 5:00pm
We will be celebrating the feast day of our patron saint with a Triduum—a period of three days of prayer and celebration. Beginning on Wednesday, October 2 and running
through Friday, October 4 we will gather from 6-7pm in St. Francis Church. The first two nights we will have talks with adoration and the last night there will be a Mass which
will incorporate evening prayer. Fr. Joe Upton will give a talk on Wednesday, October 2 and Fr. Tim Reilly will give a talk on Thursday, October 3. On Friday, October 4, Fr. Ranallo will celebrate Mass. All are welcome to join us in praying to our patron saint!
Bring your dogs, cats, hamsters, gerbils, birds, fish, ferrets, chickens, turtles, etc. for a special St. Francis blessing by the statue of our patron saint.
Long-stem red roses will be available after all Masses on Saturday & Sunday, October 19 & 20. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the Mother of Life Pregnancy Center in Providence. The Center provides free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, counseling, client advocacy, parenting classes, material goods for babies & moms, and much more. The suggested donation is $3 per rose. Thank you for your generous support!
Are you or anyone you know interested in exploring the Catholic Church as their spiritual home? If you know someone - a spouse, relative, friend, neighbor, coworker who might be interested in becoming a Catholic, or was baptized in the Catholic faith but has not received the sacraments of the Eucharist and/or Confirmation, we will be holding an informational meeting on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at Fr. Greenan Hall to provide an overview of the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) and to answer any questions. We are here to help you discern God’s will in your life. If anyone would like further information, please contact Pat Lefoley plefoley1@cox.net or 401-339-3858. You may also call the parish office at 401-783-4411.
