Back to school is almost here! Bring your backpacks to any Mass the weekend of August 29th & 30th to receive a Back-To-School blessing after the homily.

Beginning with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, the Divine Mercy Chaplet prayed, concluding with Benediction
(This devotion will be about 1⁄2 hour.)

Faith Formation classes begin on Sunday, September 13th. Grades K-6 families are to meet in the lower level of the church after the 9am Mass for class assignments.
Orientation for our Confirmation program for both parents and teens will take place on Wednesday, September 27th at 6:30pm in Father Greenan Center. If you are new to the parish or your child is entering the program from a Catholic school you can contact the faith formation office at 792-8684

Please take a baby bottle and fill it with your spare coins (cash or checks are also much appreciated). Checks should be made out to RI Right to Life. Please return the bottles to church the weekend of October 5th. Collection bins will be located at the entrances of the church and chapel. Your generosity will help Right to Life Services to provide pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and support Maternity Hope Chest which services 300 mothers and families each month who have courageously chosen life!!

During the month of October, join us at St. Romuald chapel in praying the rosary every week night starting at 5:00pm.

Bring your dogs, cats, hamsters, gerbils, birds, fish, ferrets, chickens, turtles, etc. for a special St. Francis blessing by the statue of our patron saint in the parking lot of St. Francis Church.

The “Transitus of St. Francis” (Latin for passage or crossing) is a special liturgical celebration held annually on October 3rd, commemorating the death of St. Francis of Assisi in 1226. It is held on the eve of his feast day, remembering his passing from earthly life to heavenly life with joy and gratitude. It celebrates his passage from this life to God not with sorrow, but joy and songs. He viewed death as “Sister Death”. Franciscans worldwide gather on October 3rd for these prayer services. This prayer highlights Franciscan Spirituality of poverty, simplicity and finding joy in trusting God’s love, even in the face of death. Our Parish will be joining Franciscans all over the world praying this prayer on October 3rd .

The bazaar includes craft/vendors tables, a silent auction, bake sale, and a cafe for drinks and a lunch menu. Our crafters include pottery, jewelry, cards, ornaments, small paintings, knitting, candles, wood products, coastal decorations etc. Silent auction items include a week in a beautiful condo in MyrtleBeach and themed baskets. Come join the fun!
